The cartridges I have received have leaked.
This situation could occur during shipping, it only means a small amount of ink escaped during the normal expansion of ink during shipping activity. Generally we recommend that you wipe of the cartridge and print head, install it into your printer, and check to see if your software provides for ink level indicators. Using this, you can determine if there has been significant loss. If you have ordered a remanufactured cartridge this could also be due to ink expansion. Most re-manufacturers over fill the cartridge to guarantee your satisfaction of page yield. Please understand that certain chips used by OEM manufacturers are set so as not to provide accurate ink readings after the first cycle of ink has been run through the cartridge. Unfortunately, they do this to create doubt in the consumers mind. Always bear in mind that the original equipment manufacturers do not want consumers to use any product other than their cartridges. They believe if they sell you a printer at or below cost you should be obligated to use the expensive ink product they offer.
